🛂 Visa & Entry Requirements
Most travelers can obtain a visa on arrival at Tanzanian ports of entry. However, citizens of certain countries must obtain a visa in advance and are not eligible for visa on arrival.

Citizens from most countries (e.g. USA, UK, Canada, EU countries, Australia, South Africa, India, etc.) are eligible for visa on arrival or may apply online in advance for convenience.

🧳 Zanzibar Visa & Travel Insurance
Zanzibar follows the same visa policy as mainland Tanzania—no separate visa is required. However, starting October 1, 2024, all international visitors to Zanzibar must have mandatory inbound travel insurance, purchased before arrival through the Zanzibar Insurance Corporation (ZIC).
The policy covers medical emergencies, evacuation, and other travel-related incidents for up to 92 days. Travelers must apply online and present a QR code at immigration.
🏥 Medical Travel Insurance for All Participants
All participants are strongly advised to have comprehensive medical travel insurance for the duration of their stay in Tanzania, including Zanzibar. This insurance should cover potential medical emergencies, hospitalization, and evacuation. While emergency medical services are available in major cities, access to healthcare in remote areas may be limited.

- Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR) is the main entry point.
- Taxis, ride-hailing apps (Bolt, Uber), and hotel shuttles are available.

Expect warm and humid weather, with daytime temperatures around 28°C (82°F). Occasional showers may occur during your stay.
👔 Dress Code
Tanzania has a conservative dress culture. Attendees are encouraged to dress modestly, covering knees and shoulders in public.
The official dress code for all expo engagements is formal.

It is recommended to drink bottled or purified water during your stay. Tap water is not safe for consumption, and bottled water is readily available at hotels and shops.
